Green Beaver Love

I just have to tell you about my love and devotion to Green Beaver, a Canadian…(Ontarian even!) company that makes all sorts of body soaps, lotions and potions.
I first heard about Green Beaver from the book There’s Lead in Your Lipstick, after reading that book I really wanted to find natural alternatives to the products I was using. Ones that would not hurt my body or our water and environment. Green Beaver was my first to try and my favorite.
I’ve been using their products for about 9 months now, the reason it’s taken me so long to mention Green Beaver is because I keep buying new things from their suite of products and keep telling myself “after this I’ll review them” but then I’ll go buy something else of theirs and restart the cycle.
I’ve loved everything I’ve bought: they’re all natural, often organic, mostly vegan (some things have beeswax) and cruelty free. They’re family owned, and as mentioned, from Ontario, which is cool by me.
My absolute fav was the Boreal Body Lotion- it’s thick and creamy, absorbs well and smells wonderful; hands down it’s my favorite body lotion of all time….a-l-l t-i-m-e. That’s not to discount my love for the other products I’ve tried. I’ve purchased the Shampoo & Conditioner combos 4 times now (for myself and as gifts) Together a shampoo and conditioner cost less than $20 which to me is a steal. I was a long time believer/preacher that you have to spend more money to get great hair products, but Green Beaver has changed my mind (just for their products).
Oddly enough, as I write this, I got an e-mail from well.ca offering 20% off Green Beaver (I swear, I’m not affiliated with Well or Green Beaver), so if you’re interested in trying them out, go HERE.
I hope you give it a try and love it as much as I do.

Undercuts. Yay or YAY?

This hairstyle is officially on my bucketlist.

I have wanted an undercut since grade 5…its been a few years since grade 5 and I’m stillll lusting over this badass ‘do.

I like and undercut paired with long luscious locks for that ironic punk vs glam look.

The other thing is, this style keeps coming back, so as much as it’s a crazy trend, it has some serious staying power.

I bet the grow out stage is a bitch though.

First time buying and feeling very excited about this can on coconut oil: “Excellent for Hair, Skin and Cooking”…well that pretty much rounds up everything I care about.
I’ll let you know what I think of it after I crack the tin and give it a try. Fingers crossed; I am really looking for a good, inexpensive and natural body moisturizer, when I saw this in the grocery store I couldn’t resist.  View Larger
